
A gas cylinder explosion inside a shop on Lahore’s Ravi Road late Tuesday night led to the collapse of a three-story building, killing five people and injuring six others.
According to Edhi Foundation officials, the blast occurred when a gas cylinder exploded, sparking a fire that quickly spread throughout the building.
The officials stated that the explosion was powerful, resulting in collapse of three floors of the structure.
Rescue teams responded immediately, pulling injured victims from the debris and rushing them to a nearby hospital.
They also recovered the bodies of the deceased and moved them to the morgue.
Emergency crews are continuing to clear the rubble and search for anyone who may still be trapped.
Meanwhile, police have sealed off the area and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
